Could President Obama Return as Vice President?

‘Before someone hurls the 22nd Amendment at me, I would suggest they read it first.'

Could President Obama Return as Vice President?

Holman Jenkins Jr. suggests in'Biden’s Only Salvation : A New Veep' (Business World Oct. 28) that President Biden fill the vacuum created by his agerelated debilitation, by naming a running mate of â€undoubted strengthâ€, who is regarded by the public as being â€ready to take control when global events run out of handâ€. As much as I hate to offer advice to the Democrats, I think the ideal person for this role would be the former president Barack Obama.

Please read the 22nd Amendment before you throw it at me. The 22nd Amendment states that no person can be elected as President twice. After two terms in office as president, there is no provision for running for vice-president. As vice president, Mr. Obama could constitutionally become the next president if Mr. Biden resigned.
