First look: Nemacolin to open Wisteria as residential community for employees, including market, pub and rec center

Maggie Hardy, along with the leaders at 84 Lumber & Nemacolin, are ready to launch a major expansion in order to meet the needs of employees of Fayette County Resort.
Nemacolin will debut Wisteria on Saturday, 20th May. This new community will be reserved for resort employees and will feature 33 new patio homes with each having two bedrooms and two baths. The expansion will also include an expanded full-service supermarket, pub, as well as recreation center.
In a release prepared in advance of the opening, Nemacolin calls Wisteria "one the nation's biggest residential communities for resort affiliates".
Maggie Hardy, the CEO and owner of the development, explained in a statement the strategy behind the new project: "We remain committed with our Nemacolin Family and as the property grows and expands it is important that our Associates have easier and better access to quality resources. It's also crucial to provide an inviting community for them to call home." The Market at Wisteria represents just a small part of Wisteria's launch. Nemacolin's neighborhood is a fully-operational neighborhood with a modern rec center and casual dining options at The Pub. The Market at Wisteria is the center of Wisteria and will offer fresh foods with healthier choices.
The project was done in partnership between 84 Lumber, Inc., and Martin Brothers, Inc., and it adds to a mix that already includes co-living arrangements, which totals about 300 people. All full-time workers are eligible to live at Wisteria, and the amenities include complimentary transportation to and away from work.
Wisteria is expanding and adding a market as well as other amenities to employees of Nemacolin, led by one of the wealthiest individuals in the region at a moment when there's a housing shortage across America that includes western Pennsylvania.
Maggie Hardy, one of the three billionaires from the region who appeared on Forbes Magazine’s annual list of richest people in the world was named as such by Forbes Magazine.
The report states that there were 14 renters on average for every vacant apartment in the United States at the end last year. According to the report, rental housing was at its highest level in 50 years.
In the announcement, it was noted that Market at Wisteria would be a full selection. It will offer fresh produce including organic and locally sourced meats and seafood, a section of frozen foods, different options for home meals, beer, wine, and fresh flowers. The announcement stated that Nemacolin's employees would be eligible for a discount on the Market.
