Great Wolf Lodge collaborates with celebrity chef for Maryland resort opening

The new Great Wolf Lodge, which will open in Perryville, Maryland this summer, wants to focus on partnerships with local businesses. This collaboration begins by working with Duff Goldman, owner of Charm City Cakes.

The grand opening of the Chicago-based resort group founded in Wisconsin Dells on June 29, will feature cupcakes made by celebrity chef Remington and his cake shop. The limited-time treats will be available to guests until September, and the proceeds will go to the Believe in Tomorrow Children's House in Johns Hopkins. This house provides accommodation to families of children who are receiving critical treatment at Hopkins Children's Hospital.

Goldman, a Baltimore Business Journal reporter, said that Great Wolf's partnerships with local businesses showed how much they cared about their community.

The cupcakes were unveiled at an event on February 2nd. They come in four different flavors and are decorated with scenes from Great Wolf’s animated film, ‘The Great Wolf Pack.’ Sweet treats are in line with the theme of the resort, which is to provide a family-friendly environment. They also bring locals into the resort so that they can connect with their community.

Nadine Miracle said, 'We wanted to include Charm City Cakes as a great way' during the event.

Miracle said that the chain caters each location to the local area. This means that they are tapping into Maryland's 'bounty of goods'. She said that guests can expect to find local seafood like crabs on the menus of the lodge, but they are still being curated.

Goldman is Great Wolf's latest local chef to partner with in its many locations. Goldman became famous thanks to the 10-season run of "Ace of Cakes" on Food Network. He is still a regular television presence.

Goldman's daughter Josephine is now venturing into a 'new family fun world'. He was eager to show off the adventure cakes, which he calls cupcakes.

Miracle stated that the collaboration between Charm City Cakes, Great Wolf, and Great Wolf would last until summer. However, a partnership lasting longer could be possible.

Great Wolf Lodge was founded in 1997, when its flagship resort opened in Wisconsin Dells. The chain's largest park, a 700-room resort on 48 acres in Maryland, opened its doors in the summer of 2017. It was two months earlier than its original August opening date. .
