Pepsi's Foray Into the Condiment Industry Leaves Soda Fans Nauseated: 'I Just Puked In My Mouth'
The soda giant unveiled its latest concoction this week.

Pepsi's foray into the condiment world has not been well received.
Pepsi Colachup, a ketchup-cola mix, was launched this week by the soda giant. The company claims that the product is a way to highlight (and monetize), how great a hotdog or hamburger with ketchup tastes with Pepsi.
Culinary Institute of America, the renowned cooking school in America, developed this new sauce.
The concept is simple yet creative. David Kamen said in a press release that the distinctive flavors of Pepsi and the vibrant citrus blend enhance the bright and tangy qualities of ketchup and offset the smokiness from the hot dog. It's an entirely new way to enjoy these two American classics!
The limited edition sauce is available in select MLB stadiums across the country. These include Chase Field (Phoenix), Yankee Stadium, Target Field and Comerica Park.
Twitter was used to announce the launch of the new "sweet and salty" condiment. The company called it the "undisputed champion" of all condiments.
Many social media users responded with confusion to the strangely-flavored concoction.
To achieve the Pepsi taste, ketchup is blended with spices and smoked tomato.
This innovation follows the launch of "Starry", a soda with a high citrus content, in January. It was meant to compete with Sprite.
PepsiCo has just come off a very strong Q1 of 2023. Net sales increased 10.2% to $17.85 Billion.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the company had risen 10.18% over a period of one year.
