SpaceX is preparing for its upcoming mission called Polaris Dawn. This mission will involve a five-day journey to orbit with a crew of private astronauts. The crew will venture into Earth’s radiation belts and attempt the first commercial spacewalk. The launch is scheduled to take place from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and the crew will consist of four civilians, including Jared Isaacman, the billionaire founder of Shift4. Polaris Dawn is part of a series of missions aimed at advancing SpaceX’s goal of enabling humans to live and work on other planets. The crew members have extensive experience in piloting jet aircraft and working with NASA astronauts. The mission will include a high-risk spacewalk and approximately 40 science experiments before returning to Earth.
