Suspect arrested after Duchess of York's former assistant found dead in homicide, Texas authorities say
A suspect has been arrested after the former assistant to the Duchess of York was found dead in a Dallas apartment earlier this week, officials said.

Officials said that a suspect was arrested after the former Duchess York's assistant, who had been found dead earlier this week in an apartment in Dallas, was apprehended.
According to the Dallas Police Department, officers responded to a downtown Dallas home on Monday afternoon where they discovered Jeneanchapman, 46. She had died.
Dallas police reported that the following day, her death was ruled a homicide by the medical examiner’s office.
Ferguson revealed in a post on social media that Chapman was the assistant to Sarah Ferguson when she was a duchess.
Ferguson expressed her shock and sadness at the news of Chapman’s death. Ferguson said that Jenean was a loyal, hardworking woman who was beautiful and fun. Her friends and family will be devastated by her death.
Ferguson told Chapman that she spoke to her a few months ago, and Chapman seemed pleased.
Dallas police reported in a Tuesday update that they had identified a suspect, James Patrick, 48. He was taken into custody by Austin, located about 200 miles to the southwest.
Police said that he was arrested in the Travis County Jail, and will be charged with murder.
According to records, as of Saturday afternoon he was still being held under a $100,000 bail.
Dallas Police did not give any indication of a motive for the incident and they did not mention whether Chapman or the suspect were acquainted with one another.
CNN was unable to determine whether Patrick had legal representation.
